This mechanic is hated by many players because of hackers, which abuse the function, making players who have spawned in or are just starting to load in get combat logged.
Combat logging was added in to make combat between players more fair because players would leave whenever they are low on health to avoid death.To know you're about to log, is by a red exclamation mark above your head, which indicates if you leave with it above your head, it will count as combat logging.Įven if you're in a fight and '!' isn't visible, but you're nearby someone, and you leave without '!' you still get combat logged. When that player logs in again, they will have no items on them (only items in their bag and inventory) and a red message will appear at the top of the screen, reading: However, they would drop all of their items as if they died, also losing all their gear. When this happens, the player logging out would leave the game normally.
